We’ve made it to Racked LA’s esteemed lists a couple of times. Check them out below:
There are a lot of obvious reasons to shop local. It’s good for the economy of course, and for the community. We’re partial to it because the chance of someone else walking around in your new purchase is slightly lower. So for this edition of Racked 38 we bring you LA’s top 38 indie shops—from single stores owned and operated by locals to regional chainlets to a seasonal and very indie pop-up. Some of the stores are also featured on our Essential LA Shops list—like Eastside indie style mecca Mohawk General Store, or Madison, a mini chain owned by two Angelenos—and some are new for us at Racked. The thing that ties them all together is an indie spirit, which we love.
While every day is a good day to support local businesses, tomorrow is extra awesome because it’s Small Business Saturday, a movement that encourages shoppers to spend at mom and pops across the country. To help you get involved, we introduce our latest installment of Indie 38, a map to LA’s very best independent shops.
